Logs To Lumber
Over 40 % of Idaho is covered in trees making Idaho the 8th largest lumber producing state in the nation. Further reading brought to light that wood and paper products is the largest "basic" industry in northern Idaho.

Idaho sawmills are some of the most modern and efficient in the country.
Once that log reaches the mill, every part is used with virtually no waste.

Idaho's forests grow 2.3 times more wood than is harvested each year.
This is wonderful, to say the leasst, especially since I've read about various nations around the world experiencing the very sad scenario of forests being basically depleted with no reforest measures  in place.
